It was not a 4 star hotel. My husband and I chose this hotel due to its reviews for a one-night stay. We switched rooms 2x and we are not fussy people. First, the room smelled like urine profusely. The second room was dirty and we were woken up by club music that was coming from the hotel lobby (it was extensive). Despite our best efforts, we could not get the temperature below 80 and the remote control was broken. We gave a cordial complaint on the way out and received a half assed "sorry." Then we saw we were charged for minibar items we hadn't purhased. When I called the manager, he did nothing but promise us a discounted future stay. He should have given us a free stay....we are not going back. ...

Not really a 4 star hotel - 3 to 3.5 at best. It's in a great location with a wonderful rooftop bar but for a 4 star rating the rooms definitely need updating!

and staff excellent.
Several reasons to be in NYC, including my birthday. We
told hotel and they upgraded us to a lovely room with a view. Sent us birthday cake from their Thai restaurant on premises. It was so delicious, that we grabbed a reservation for dinner and was not disappointed. The food was marvelous.

They put me directly over nightclub and it was so loud the glasses were vibrating on the dresser. they refused to move me despite obvious low vacancy rate. the bellman told me they had had "countless" complaints on that floor even when rest of the hotel was not well occupied.

Pulled up to the 60 Thompson valet to check in on a Sunday afternoon. The doorman asked how long we were staying (until Tuesday, day after Memorial Day), and encouraged us to park in the space directly across the street rather than pay the 55 bucks per night for valet parking. The sign did say that parking was not allowed on Mondays between certain hours for street cleaning, but he assured us that because of the holiday we would be safe. And he was right. Best doorman ever. Oh and the hotel was very nice, cute rooftop bar, excellent location.
