Hotel Guest Reviews of the Aloft Charlotte Uptown At The Epicentre
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 9, 2013

I read the negative reviews and was ready for a horrific time. The staff was absolutely amazing and outgoing. We needed them numerous times due to our own created problems (never over stuff the safe for starters lol) and they were always helpful immediately! Loved the room, slept well, and loved the TV on the wall while in bed :)The location is fabulous..... Tons of restaurants, activities and bars right down stairs. If you feel you need a dresser for your clothes and a traditional dark closed in feeling room then stay somewhere else.... the vibe was fun and friendly if YOU let it be, I am in my 50's and you don't have to be in your 20's to enjoy it! Some of the negative reviews had me nervous, but after staying realized what was wrong was the guests and there negativity.I was there for a trade show and loved that it was less than a 4 block walk to the convention center and also loved that the best Pizza that I have had in about 35 years was right down stairs! We also were never treated any differently for booking online at a discount... Will absolutely stay there again! Thanks Aloft staff you deserve a pat on the back.... ...

This hotel was unique to any other place I have stayed. Very modern/futuristic feel to it. Spacious and great uptown view from the room. Staff (that I met) were very helpful and friendly and the amenities were great. Would definitely refer friends/family. Great location in the center of uptown also made this a great spot.

Sprinter Bus from airport drops you off one block away and is $, takes about 40 minutes. Hotel is walking distance to convention center (2 blocks), several restaurants of all levels, science museum, etc.

Parking is not included and can be expensive, especially if there is an event going on at the ARena.

If you are coming into Charlotte for a staycation or to attend an event at the nearby Time Warner Cable area, the Aloft Charlotte Uptown at the Epicentre is for you. I chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the Time Warner Cable arena and I wanted to avoid the stress & headache that came into play with finding a parking space before the game and the traffic after the game. Thanks to the valet service that was available, my car safely parked and I didn't need to use it since there was a CVS, Bank of America & restaurants right below my hotel. It only cost me $20 a day for parking - other parking garages charge around the same amount but without the valet service. The hotel concierge services at the desk on the 5th floor were friendly during both my check in and check out. I would also add that check in and check out was really quick, lasting less than 5 minutes if even that long. My room was located at the end of the hallway on the 11th floor far away from the expected noise from other guests. I had a great view of the Epicentre below and the TWC Arena across the street. The bed and pillows were comfortable to my liking. I did my research before booking this hotel and read comments from previous guests in regards to the loud music that is played at the bars located in the Epicentre - if you are staying during the weekend, loud music is to be expected so plan ahead if this hotel is indeed for you. I will choose the Aloft Uptown Charlotte at the Epicentre the next time that I am in the city area. They won me over. ...

If you are looking for some place to sleep after a concert, this is your place. Perfect for a one night stay. I would recommend you check out area events at the time of your stay. There was a huge bar crawl going on the day of our stay. The noise and crowds were crazy! There is a good variety of restaurants nearby--everything from sit down places to the quick counter top service of Five Guys and Firehouse Subs. ...
