Location and decor was wonderful,
staff was very helpful and friendly,
really liked design for travelers.
Nope.

The Aloft Portland is a very clean, efficient and modern facility. It takes a great deal to impress my wife and believe me she was very impressed. The design is clean, modern and effective. The room was very clean from the shower to the rug. Blackout window curtains/shades were a nice touch, using room design features to enhance the occupants enjoyment was new for us. Looking forward to staying there again. ...read more

Great location if you need the airport.
No free breakfast. No low light near the bathroom.

Very modern styling. Just off the airport access road. The room struck me as "neo-dorm". Aside from a minor qualm about the lighting, the room had modern conveniences and excellent climate control. If there is anything personal or electronic you need to acquire, it is nearby somewhere. Ditto with food & entertainment.

The very supportive staff; they answered all our queries, well and cheerful.

Highly recommend it to all airport travelers; and also to those wishing to see Portland, since the trains are so near and incredibly convenient.

It was very upbeat, close to the airport and shopping.
Nothing.

The staff here were so friendly and we loved the snack area where we could easily get sandwiches and popcorn. The extra benefit was the $5 rewards for going green. The night lightly entertainment and the pool table were nice additions too. Very easy access to the interstate.

The staff was very friendly. Good location - close to airport, free shuttle, close to public transportation.
Not a 3 star hotel. Tries too hard to be trendy at the expense of function. Nowhere to put clothes, no privacy in bathroom. Cheap and uncomfortable.

This hotel caters to a niche market, and is not for most people. It is a dressed up motel that tries too hard to be trendy, putting form way before function. There is only room to hang about 5 items in the "closet" and there are no drawers to store clothing. You'll have to iron your clothes on the bed, because the ironing board is tiny and cheap. There is very little privacy with the bathroom as well. Even if you do close the "door" to the bathroom, your fellow guest will still be treated to the spectacular view of you showering from the other side of the frosted glass wall. So if you're not intimate with your roommate before you stay here, you sure will be after... There is no restaurant on site, only overpriced, pre-packaged snacks and bottled drinks for sale in the lobby. Also, there was not much soundproofing. Between the planes flying overhead and the housekeeping staff shouting to each other down the halls, we were never in danger of oversleeping. The staff was great though, and once you pulled back the cheap and lumpy bed sheets, the bed was actually very comfortable. So it wasn't all bad, but the bottom line is, we would not stay here gain voluntarily. ...read more
