Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americas Best Value Inn And Suites
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 11, 2012
Like the hotel because is close to family I was visiting. Is clean and the staff were nice. Did not like the smell in one of the rooms we booked. Cigarette smell awful.

I was very pleased that the hotel and staff was helpful when I needed to change the reservation to a handicap accessible room. The room was large and the bathroom was accessible except that there was a bathtub instead of a shower. The room did offer a mini-fridge and microwave. The hotel provided a decent number of TV channels but some channels had very poor audio. The room needed a bit of updating as there was wallpaper pealing or torn in several places. Although the hotel advertised free breakfast until 10 am, the breakfast items weren't available at 9:45 am, although they did still have coffee.

For the price, this hotel was awesome. Small fridge and microwave with a huge armored for clothing, etc. I also was not afraid to park my civic here which is a big concern for me when traveling. Quiet, safe, comfy beds. What else can you ask for?

The hotel price and room comfort was fine. Staff was very courteous and breakfast was good. Hotel could benefit from some upgrades.

On Christmas Eve they locked us out of the room when we returned late in the evening. They called the maintenance guy who showed up drunk. He tested the door and then told us he would have to break us in using the panel on the ground next to the A/C. He told us to inform the desk when we left the next day and he would come fix it while we were gone. We did so and when we returned the next night, Christmas night, we were still locked out. The desk said no one was on call and that we would have to sleep in another room. I told her that was not an option. Again she called the maintenance guy who showed up extremely drunk, more than the previous night, and he broke us in again. HE was so drunk he kept saying the same thing over and over again and my wife became very uncomfortable. It was extremely easy to get into our room this time because he had not replaced the floor panel the previous night. He just set it back in place. This hotel is not in the best part of Melbourne to begin with and there are all kinds of shady people there along with the people that live in this hotel. Breakfast was powdered dough nuts out of the bag and cheap cereal with bad coffee. Wall paper was coming off the wall and there was mold in the shower. We booked a junior suite with a king bed and got a normal room with a queen bed. ...

WiFi did not work at all.
This hotel is good for a one night stay on a budget. The beds are not comfortable, the pillows are smaller than a laptop, and the rooms are not the cleanest. The location is great, 1 block off the interstate, the price is very good. But this is not a hotel to consider for longer trips.
