Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americas Best Value Inn Beckley
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 16, 2013

Save your money! There is a reason it is cheap and it is because they don't clean. Very very sisappointed

Never will I reccomend this hotel to anyone. It left me wondering if Priceline had any clue, or evidence with which to assign a two star ranking. The moldy smell permeated the hallways and guest rooms. The ceilings were moldy and stained. A "queen" room provided only two small pillows and a decades old blue blanket for the bed. I could not prop myself up to sit in the bed. The Staircase was a rusted out fire escape that shook when you walked on it, with unsecure handles. A guest had to leave through outside doors just to reach the staircase. The furniture was extremely dirty and covered with some sort of "fuzz". The desk clerk was rude. Come on priceline....you can do better than this! Had I been a customer who was not "locked in" to the room, I most certainly would have found alternate accomodations. I'm sorry, Priceline, I hate to be so negative, and rarely complain, but the standards at "America's Value Inn" were simply unacceptable. Sincerely, Laura K Bogden ...

Pay extra and stay somewhere else. The room did not feel clean, the front desk accidentally gave us a key to another person's room. We would've walked in on them, but luckily they had the latch on or they would have had a surprise guest at 12:30 am. The breakfast was sub par with off brand danishes and fruit cups and really bad coffee.

The hotel was just ok. The staff checked me in ok, but made me feel like I was interrupting their time. For the price it wasn't bad. Clean simple breakfast in the morning. I found some items left from the previous guest but it was no big deal to me. Very quiet overall but very outdated and didn't want to put my things on the chair because they looked so dirty.

This hotel is old and run down. Not worth the money. Staff is not very professional either. Next time I will pay a little more money and get a nicer hotel.

Compared to other America's Best in which I have visited, this one was below that standard. Dirty carpet, insufficient number of towels/washrags for two, peeling wallpaper, cobwebs in the corners, no lighting for entrance after dark as all outlets were unplugged, and a breakfast that could hardly be classified as continental were a few of the expectations that we feel were not met. ...
