Quality Inn Fort Dodge

We thought the price was right, after all we just needed a room right? Wrong. They stuck us on the second floor which had a sign that it was under construction.

There was no heat in the room, the walls were cracked and the ceiling was falling apart. tub wouldn't drain and lights wouldn't work. It was very noisy most the day and there was no hot water. We will never stay at this hotel again. That is how bad it was.

The motel is not America's best by far. The furniture and carpet were relatively new, but the walls in the room had not been refinished. There were holes which had previously held pictures in place. There was dark, greasy scum around the pool at the water line. It looked like the hotel was in process of an update since the exterior had new stucco on it, but the interior has a way to go. Overall outstanding Hotel for the price, Gym, sauna, and pool were a bonus.

For what we needed this hotel for it met all requirements, although there was not a couch in the King bed room as in the picture on web ad just a chair with broken legs that should have found the crub some time ago and the small coffee pot was broken. We needed a fold out couch as we had two small children and they do not offer any roll away beds so they had to sleep on the floor on the requested extra bedding, which they really didn't seem to mind. I needed a place to sleep after working overnights and driving a 3 hour drive home. The staff was wonderful, the room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. It was perfect for what I needed and definitely a place I would consider using when traveling with my family!! I will definitely stay here again!

Very helpful young man at the desk. Clean big room. Comfortable bed. Nice night.
