Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americas Best Value Inn Frankfort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing
There was an odor as soon as you walked in. The beds were old, bad springs. The rooms smelled, and the carpets were dirty. You had to ask for enough towels. Continental breakfast: Little Debbie snacks??!!

It is an old place that needs to be torn down and rebuilt. The personnel try to do well for you but there is no way because all the problems are too intense. Maybe a remodel would get rid of the odors, maybe not. They use a generic picture for the outside of the building because it does not look like the one you actually see when you get there. I have stayed at two other America's Best Value Inns that were nice. This one is a dump compared to the others. ...read more

Staff friendly,clean rooms
The outside makes it look like a dump. We we hesitant about staying.

Driving up to this hotel we were apprehensive about staying. Stuck back where there's nothing else, the outside run down, the look of all the room air conditioners in the windows needing repair it did not look good. All rooms are accessible through the front lobby but the hallways were clean and the room ok. The staff seemed to be a family and were very friendly.

I liked the fact that I needed directions and the people at the front desk were able to help me.
I did not like that they advertised a continental breakfast and only had oatmeal cream pies and some juice. This isn't exactly breakfast.

Overall, especially for the price in comparison with other places, it was fine.

Cheap.
Beds were comfortable but pillows were horrible, bring your own for sure.

Price
Old hotel, old furnishings, smoke smell in hallways, outddoor property was unkept.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that I thought needed a hotel in Frankfort.

It was quite and by the main highway while I was there. It's very close to McDonalds, a Shell gas station, and a Dairy Queen. Also, it's close to a red light, so easy in - easy out.
The heating/AC unit is directly beside the desk area in the room. I didn't like the fact I had to turn it off because I didn't like the hot air blowing in my face while I worked.

This is a good place to stay for out of town workers or If you need a place for s night or two. The room I was in had two standard beds with a TV and mini fridge. Breakfast consists of milk, coffee and prewrapped pastries. I brought my own box of cereal and poured myself a cup of milk and ate in my room. I liked the fact that entry into the rooms was accessed after you passed thru the lobby. I liked that feature better than Motel 8's immediate air in your face as soon as you open the door approach. The bed was so-so, but I slept ok. The room was clean and the Inn quite while I was there. ...read more

Good location for us
Had fire at hotel. Desk clerk was rattled and didn't make extra effort to make sure people heard alarm, I took initiative to bang on doors on second floor. Alarm needs to have a stronger higher pitch sound, it would stop and start

Staff was helpful and always readily available
Breakfast area was really bad. Odd high pitched sound that oscillated during our stay.

it was close to our destination, and they refunded some of our price for the room at our departure.
the selected room was on the second floor and we had to request another due to personal issues with stairs. it was never asked whether we wanted a non-smoking room or not.

the hotel did not have a very secure parking lot, and signs were posted to warn you of possible losses. the hotel was located on a main road, with shopping centers close by, the rooms were fair, but relatively clean. the beds were soft and hurt our backs.
