Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americas Best Value Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

How cheap the rooms were.
My refrigerator did not work the whole trip and we had to wait 3 hours at the airport for transportation back to the hotel. Which then we had to get a taxi on our own.

Will never stay here again. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was not helpful in our situation at airport.

Rooms where clean
The lobby and the hallways on all floors smelled like weed

It's not to far from manhattan so if you want to save the money then this place is fine. The room we stayed in was very nice and comfy. The location was not the best and service was eh (it's what you expect for NJ and NYC) the hotel stunk like weed but the rooms didn't

Nothing
Poor quality, poor service, dirty room.

This hotel was not in a very good part of town. The front desk staff tried to recharge me for the room stating that my cc had only been used to hold the room (even though I had the receipt saying it was paid for). The room was dirty and the air conditioning didn't get very cold. The bed had a dip in the middle and wasn't comfortable. For what I paid for this room, I should have been satisfied. I don't have very high expectations when it comes to hotels. It was a mistake to book this room. My advice is spend the extra $10-20 and get a room closer to the airport! ...read more

The shuttle driver was very nice and helpful.
The location Ghetto.

Many errors upon check-in which they finally made right in the end, but very frustrating.

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to have a suite instead of the king size room we paid for
nothing

The hotel was great!! When we arrived we had a suite instead of the double room we paid for. It was very clean & smelled fresh. Also included a mini fridge & coffee maker. The continental breakfast was wonderful & saved us from having to go out for breakfast. The hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. The free 24 hour shuttle service to the airport ( where we took the train into N.Y.C.)was the best. The perfect way to travel to New York for New Years Eve. ...read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. Always someone in the foyer to help with anything and everything.
AC was off so room was hot, humid and smelly. Comforter/spread very old 70s. Night too cold or hot and humid.

After having the AC on the humidity and the smell cleared up. Then the room was enjoyable. Would have liked a small refrigerator as most hotels have. The breakfast room was rather small and congested but we enjoyed the breakfast immensely. The parking was great. We felt safe inside of the hotel. Would have liked coffee or something on our arrival. Would have liked our room to have had the AC on on our arrival as it gave us such a negative impression of the hotel owner/staff and their policy. ...read more

Cheap, convenient to the airport, and helpful staff.
Across the street from the projects.

Clean, cheap hotel near EWR. Unlike some of the EWR hotels this place isn't hemmed in by highways and you can actually walk to a Bodega or a few dining options. It's in a horrible area of town, but if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep with proximity to Newark, Jersey City or NYC, then it's fine.
