Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americinn Oswego
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 9, 2012

The staff was excellent. The gentleman at the registration was probably the most professional, and friendly hotel employee I've ever experienced. The lobby was very cozy. The theme of these hotels is sort of Wisconsin/Minnesota/Michigan woods. It's not really my thing, but it makes for a beautiful hotel design actually. The room was great. Flat screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave. I didn't know that the guest has to turn the fridge on. I put things in it, and the next morning they were warm. Be advised of this. The only negative experience is that our room was never made-up. We left the hotel room around 11:00am, and when we came back around midnight, the bed was un-made. There was a card on the door saying something about "we respected your request for "do not disturb" and didn't enter your room. I guess it was my fault for leaving the door placard on "do not disturb," but you'd think at like 1 or 2 in the afternoon they'd knock, and enter. The breakfast was better than other hotels in which it's just continental, but even the hot food had a cafeteria or hospital quality to it.

My room smelled, and the pool was closed because of letting the public swim there, which was unfair to us paying customers.

You can't go wrong staying at this lovely hotel. If you don't find the breakfast satisfactory, there is a great diner within walking distance that is incredible for the price.

Americinn Oswego, Ill was cozy and comfy. A bit folksy decor for my taste, but I liked the northwoods theme. Free breakfast was great. Mattress wonderful. Sheets crisp and towels nice. People helpful and nice, too!
