Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ameritania Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location
Room was very small, air conditioner was very loud. We complained and they jammed a screwdriver into the side to make it less noisy and were supposed to come back to fix it. They didn't and had to be called twice to come out the first time.

The location was ideal. Lots of things within walking distance. The newly remodeled bathroom felt clean and the new towels were nice and thick.

Hotel was around the corner of the Ed Sullivan theater, home to The David Letterman show. Many restaurants worth going to within walking distance. Clean bathrooms. I'd stay there again. I asked for a room not facing the street and it was quiet.

The hotel was decorated very nice, the room was very spacious for a new york city hotel and the location was great. The room was very clean and the SHOWER was the best it was the highlight of the after walking around the city all night, was a great treat
the staff told you nothing, not about the ice machine or how to operate the ligts ( key left in a spot by the lights) , nothing about what was around or us, or the restuaraunt that was there, almost no amenities, did not know what we would be charged for

Ask how o operate the lights, your rooom key must be in place while you are in the room, ask about the ice machine, no info in the room at all except for the price of the candy bars , no little extras, but it was a clean very nicely decoarted room, bed was the usual hotel bed, but roomy for the city. not far from eveythign we wanted, such as time square and the park, we enjoyed our stay just used to more extras and interaction form the staff, but we would stay again ...read more

Construction site next to. Impractical small room.

There was not minibar in every room. It was possible to postpone check-out time.

Location! Walking distance to most everything I wanted to see and do.
The room was miniscule. : ( No desk for laptop, very limited walking space around bed. Not much drawer space.

Negative: Extremely small room. No desk for laptop, insufficient drawer space. The shower spray splashed outside of the stall. I had to request wash cloths twice (only received them once), the drinking glasses were left in the room dirty after housekeeping had serviced the room. Requested clean glasses but did not receive them. My day of check out, the front desk staff was not very helpful when I inquired how I could print out my boarding pass.(There was not a business center or computer for guests to use). Positive: Concierge was very helpful and professional and the front desk personelle on my day of check-in was very pleasant. The bartender was attentive and friendly. The location of this hotel was the biggest plus. ...read more

Fast and free wifi. Awesome location, just blocks away Central Park and Times Square.
Bed was small.

This is a fantastic hotel and I highly recommend. Location can't get any better than this. The bed was a bit too small for 2 people.

Perfect location. Great shower.
Tiny room. No free wifi. No frig or coffee in the room.

Good value for great midtown location. The public space decor was a bit much. An extra foot or two in each direction would have helped enormously. I wish all hotels would have free wifi at this point. It is no longer an optional amenity.
