Hotel Guest Reviews of the Anchorage Inn Rochester
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.November 14, 2012

When checking in they said they over booked and wanted to move us to another hotel, 20 minutes away. We stayed since there was no incentive to move. At no time that night, did it look like the motel was filled.

I was very happy with everything with the hotel. The breakfast was simple and the room was clean and very large. The bed was comfortable and the television was great.

The location was perfect for our purpose but we probably won't use this hotel again while traveling. The attendants were very nice but not very professional. The manner of dress, very wrinkled, was that of just rolling out of bed and coming to work. While the room appeared to be clean, there was a musty smell that we couldn't seem to be rid of and stains on the walls. We had a front and back door with dead bolt locks but no safety latches, left us feeling unsafe.

Pool still had algae even after vacuuming; pool area o/w attractive. Quality of room needs improvement. Felt it was dirty in bedroom area. Air conditioner was filthy. We kept our luggage off the floor, fearing bugs. Beds were comfortable but pillows lumpy. Bathroom was small but clean enough. Motel is easy to find right off highway, in quiet area. Breakfast is simple, basically cereal, waffles, bread, rolls, juice, coffee. No yogurt or eggs. ...

The location is close to family, so we've stayed more than 3 times. Problems remain though rates can be low, staff is helpful. Mildew smell is a problem in more than one room, no eggs, yoghurt or fruit offered, AC is always loud, rooms are crowded with 2 beds, should update baths. Pool is good.

The hotel staff is very nice and very helpful. The location was excellent for me, based on where I was traveling to during the day. I felt safe and secure there and felt that my belongings were safe as well. Downsides: Unfortunately the room was not what I had expected at all. It smelt moldy when I first went in, the sink had old toothpaste smears, and the bedsheets has someone else's hair on them. I got nervous and wanted to make sure there were no bed bugs; in doing so I found an array of garbage, gum, hair, dirt, etc behind the head of the bed. I did find a bug but no bed bugs, so I stayed. Sadly, I wouldn't stay here again despite the reasonable rate I paid. ...

We checked in late on a very hot summer evening, after attending a wedding. The room air conditioner was on, but had been set wrong. It was stifling in there. We left & returned a short while later to a room that was somewhat cooler. When I looked around, the nightstand was sticky, with glass rings on it & there was hair on the bathtub. It appeared that the sheets were clean, but that is about it. Needless to say, we wouldn't even consider eating the continental breakfast. ...
