Hotel Guest Reviews of the Arena Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The room was large and clean. The kingsize bed was comfortable. The desk staff was most helpful in answering questions and printing out my boarding pass. Secure parking. Good breakfast. Microwave and fridge were a plus.
I liked everything about the hotel. Location close to the airport and not far from the interstate highways.

My stay was great and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The desk staff was friendly and helpful all hours ( The desk is manned 24 hrs a day.) The parking was plentiful in a secure parking lot. There is a CVS Drug store next door which was convenient. I liked the jacuzzi tub and fridge and microwave in the room. the room was clean when I arrived and house keeping staff kept it that way. The airport and entry onto 101 and the interstate highway system are all close. All the rooms have entry from interior hallways. If I ever go back to San Jose, this hotel is where I will stay. ...read more

The location is excellent for visiting the central City of San Jose.
I was very tired, the mattress was out dated and too hard... thankfully I was very tired.

Very good location and a good breakfast. Overall an enjoyable experience, only wish I would have had more time to enjoy the hotel a little longer. Maybe next trip.

Everything was great!!! Within walking distance to the concert, great breakfast....full breakfast. Comfortable, clean...plan to stay again in the future.

If going to a concert at the HP Pavilion....awesome choice! Rooms are very clean, comfy and close to venue. There is a full breakfast in the morning...a plus. Plan to come back in the future!

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is great.
Rooms really need updating although beds are comfortable. Breakfast is mediocre and even though fresh fruit is advertised, there isn't any. The coffee is the worst, literally undrinkable, and the juice must be from a concentrate.

Tip: some days you get sufficient towels and other days you don't - curious. Be sure to specify no-smoking even though all rooms are supposedly non-smoking we had to change rooms upon arrival as smoke smell was so strong.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the hotel fantastic. It has a full on complimentary breakfast - not just coffee and doughnuts! My wife found it cozy.
Everything was clean, but carpets were stained and many fixtures needed updating.

I loved this hotel and will stay here again, but a couple of points: The advertised in-room jacuzzi is really just an extra big jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. t's right next door to a CVS pharmacy for all your needs you may have forgotten, and it's also just down the street in either direction from many restaurants and bars. Walking distance to the HP Pavilion as well! The hotel feels safe and secure and is remarkably quiet (we had a room facing the street) for being on a busy street. The doors to the hotel are locked after a certain time at night so one can't enter without the hotel key. Added security! And I gotta mention the free breakfast. French toast, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereal and juice....all complimentary with the room stay. ...read more

The hotel was cute and charming. Good location near the airport and other destinations. Easy to find. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The coffee in the room was not the greatest. The coffee downstairs was better

I would definately stay there again. Staff was friendly. The interior is dated but it reminds me of the older hotels that have quite a bit of charm.

The hotel was in walking distance of the HP Pavilion.
The breakfast was lacking. By the time we got there, most of the food was gone. I didn't even get a banana and there was no orange juice.

If you are going to a concert at the HP Pavilion, this is a great place to stay. It was a short walk and you don't have to worry about parking. Santana Row is only a few miles away with great shopping and restaurants. The decor of the hotel and room we stayed in could use some updating but it was fine for the price. My only complaint was that they didn't have a very good breakfast. ...read more

Loved the plants around the hotel...large elephant ear type of palms, etc.
Selected hotel for the jacuzzi tubs; however we weren't able to use the one in our room because there was nothing in the tub to prevent falling...no rubber mat or non-slip stickers on bottom of tub.

If Jacuzzi tub is important to you, bring your own rubber mat to prevent slipping in the tub. Hotel overall was forgettable.
