Hotel Guest Reviews of the Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The rooms were almost what you would expect, though this tends to vary a bit. The room I stayed in this time was sub-par for what I expected from the Biltmore. This means about average compared to a nice hotel in general (i.e. not a luxury hotel)
My main complaint was the maintenance of the building. I stayed in a cottage, and the outside needed a bit of clean up. Nothing major, just kept up to par with what I have normally seen while at the Biltmore.

I would definitely recommend the Biltmore, it is an awesome resort. If you can, try not stay for just one night - you will be missing out on everything this place has to offer. When I have the time, I love spending a week here. Expect everything to be pricey, but even without a car in Phoenix, they have a shuttle to the Biltmore shopping center, and you can walk a few places from there to get whatever you need. A great experience overall, one that I will partake in again. One thing to know: the waterslide in one of the main pools is not going to amaze you with it's speed. The pools are quite nice in general, though the swim-up bars keep certain hours, and are not always open before late afternoon. ...read more

The fact that they have preserved most of it's historic charm and character. I appreciate no "resort fee" or Internet fee for HH guests, although it was certainly covered by the rate.
Most of the staff were very friendly, with the exception of the valet and bell staff, rarely was I greeted when passing by or probably never during my 4 days. I found it interesting as they appeared to be American and the foreign staff always greeted me.

The Hotel is a special place that has been beautifully maintained. To truly appreciate one needs to stop and observe every element. Most of the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic property; upgraded to suite accommodation; architectural masterpiece.
Had fireplace in room, but had to call an engineer to light it....so didn't

The Arizona Biltmore deserves its reputation as one of North America's splendid resort properties. Very well located next to a major shopping center, it's a great place to spend an extended romantic weekend.

The grounds were gorgeous.
I had purchase for a room with a view. The fourth room I was shown had a view.

Some of the rooms are dark and despite of the no smoking rule, smell like smoke. The cottages are right along the paths where the crowds walk by constantly, so avoid the cottages. I had purchase for a room with a view and was shuttled about the placed to three rooms which were each worse than the last. I finally made a big stink about it, and got in fact a lovely room--which no doubt was a major upgrade, but what I had really cared about was the room having a view -- and the first three had walls or sidewalks directly out the window.

The weather was very pleasant. The food at the hotel restaurants was good.
Rude front desk staff at all times. The rooms are very tired and not very clean.

Beautiful property, friendly staff.
Food service mediocre- no napkins, had to ask for butter, food ok. Poor lighting in rooms, allowed cigar smoking in public areas.

The architectural style is beautiful. The hotel design is Frank Lloyd Wright inspired.
The building where we stayed was a long walk from the lobby. We had a Senior with us in our group and it was difficult for him to walk to the room.

Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Super comfortable bed. Large bathrooms. Comfy robes and nice bath products.

Its one thing to have the resort fee not included, but it should say that parking cost another $30.
