Circle Crater Rim Drive to access the Thurston Lave Tube, Kilauea Iki Overlook and the park's many trails. Drive 45 minutes south to Punaluu Black Sand Beach Park or the panoramic views from South Point Park, 90 minutes south. Historic Hilo, including Liliuokalani Gardens and Rainbow Falls State Park, is 45 minutes north. Akaka Falls State Park is just over an hour away and the impressive Pololu Valley Overlook is three hours north. Hilo International Airport is 25 miles north.
