Hotel Guest Reviews of the Bakersfield Marriott At The Convention Center
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 15, 2013
First off I wanted to stay at the Marriott Convention Center, but was set up with Four Points Sheraton so I can't really say how the stay would have been there.

Customer service sucked. See above. THey said could not discount room because it was booked thru Priceline. They seemed to even know that is an ongoing problem becasue room on lowest floor next to kitchen laundry and even admitted they are booked last. Very noisy and could not sleep.

This is a great hotel in the heart of Bakersfield. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We were extremely disappointed with Priceline more so than the hotel in that the website told us that the package included complimentary breakfast. This was a big part of what made us take the deal. When we checked in we were told it wasn't included. We checked our confirmation and the description had dropped the word breakfast, ending with complimentary hanging alone. The hotel staff were great and called Priceline but were told that it wasn't included. My travel mate, who is a travel agent, called Priceline and got nowhere with your staff. "Executive Room, 1 King Or 2 Queen, 400Sqft/36Sqm, Living/Sitting Area, Wireless Internet, Complimentary" t was a good hotel experience but a bad Priceline experience. ...

We left a Cartier watch in our room. After checkout, when I called the front desk staff, she said nothing was found and even lied to us that all the bedding was delivered to the laundry. When we came back to the hotel, she tried to prevent us from entering our room to look for that watch which we left in the room. Finally, we found the room was NOT cleaned yet and found the watch on the bed. When we tried to talk to the hotel management, the same woman named Chloe proudly claimed that all the management team was in a vacation and she was the top manager at that moment. I already sent a letter of complaint to Marriott's Customer Care. ...

Came in at night off of a road trip so couldn't see what we saw in the morning....tons of police action, sketchy area. Probably shouldn't have left my items in my car. Will not return to the area of Bakersfield. Nothing wrong with the hote itself, though. Large rooms. Friendly staff. Clean room. Recent remodeled lobby. Free wifi.

The buffet breakfast didn't open until 7a.m. on a Monday and was mediocre for a Marriott; however, the servers and the dinner were good. The room was comfortable and clean.
