Hotel Guest Reviews of the Banff Caribou Lodge And Spa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Lovely lobby with wood fireplace. Great spa pool. Free wifi. Friendly staff. Free covered parking. Free newspapers. Nicely appointed room.
Steam room could be hotter.

Comfortable warm and friendly place to stay. Highly recommend

Fireplace, fireplace smell in all the hallways have it a very rustic cabin feel. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Hot tub/pool shuts off every 10 minutes, restarted by a manual push button on the wall a little inconvienent but very nice when it's on.

Top notch, restaurant, the Keg, I found to be a little on the pricey side even for Banff. Great parking and storage for my skis.

The hotel and rooms appear to have had a recent renovation and are fantastic. Both were far better than expectations. And parking was free.

We stayed in several hotels on a week long spin through Calgary and Banff. This one was by far the best and (surprisingly) least expensive. The hotel and rooms appear to have a recent renovation. They are fantastic – modern, but with a rustic lodge twist. All are very clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant (The Keg) was good and prices on par for Banff although I thought their breakfast was a little pricey (like $40 for two for bacon and eggs), since the hotel is a few blocks from Downtown, I would suggest either picking up some breakfast items the night before or walking Downtown for breakfast. Lastly, I was impressed by hotel staff - mostly young people from outside Canada. Every one would smile and say hello and seemed genuinely friendly.

Location
No air-conditioning, and small room.

Clean, comfortable room but smaller than what appeared in picture. No air conditioning in the room, expected this of three star hotel.

Nice location, Friendly staff, very comfortable beds, our shower was not working and they were prompted to come and fix it.
Was not told about the deposit on credit card despite the fact
I called the hotel to ask prior to arrival.

Will most likely stay here again. The price was reasonable, in close proximity to downtown.

Lovely wood-burning fireplace in lobby, which could be enjoyed with the free coffee.
My good ratings were based solely on the hotel. The Red Earth Spa was rude and overpriced for the lack of luxury it provided.

Hotel - very pleasant; nice amenities.
