Hotel Guest Reviews of the Barcelo Gran Hotel Renacimiento
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.June 22, 2012

Good hotel, a little far away from the cuter center. Bad swimming pool service, but the room worth it.

This hotel appears to have been built with the idea that the central part of the city would someday expand to its location. It has not and will not. The hotel has very large rooms and very large beds but the decor is very outdated and not 4-star quality. We had requested 2 rooms, beside one another, both smoke free. One of the rooms smelled of cigarettes and the safe was not in working order. When we were moved to another room on a different floor (not adjacent), we found a single robe for our use. We then requested robes for all of us. We wound up being supplied with two robes total, despite our request. The hotel breakfast buffet is nice and reasonably priced. It is difficult to get a taxi from this location late at night as the taxis are in town and this hotel is not. ...

This at best 3 star was located on an island just next to an amusement park! The staff was rude. The amenities either were a joke or closed for mysterious and unexplained reasons.

The hotel is decent, but not worthy of 4-star ranking in my opinion. If you are expecting internet connectivity, budget the cost of Wi-Fi access, which is not free, except for a 30-minute voucher for access only from the hotel lobby. The staff (with the exception of 1 lady who worked the day shift) seemed to have no regard for common customer service practices.

Great hotel if you are not going to spend time at hotel. Location is awesome. To summarize hotel rooms were extremely small, barely could move around. Had a small balcony, so there was air circulation. There was noise from the street, as well as you could hear the guests.
