Baymont Inn And Suites Hays

When checking in, the receptionist carried on four to five minute conversation with another employee in the back room. The conversation appeared to have nothing to do with the hotel or my check-in. After a long drive, I was tired and wanted to get to my room. To say the least, this was very frustrating.

Loved the beds and was in a good location! Awesome Breakfast!

The room was OK, comfortable, and clean. It was not the Ritz, but that's not what I was looking for.

Hotel was okay for a 1-star. Definitely only a "place to sleep".

I enjoyed my stay and found it a pleasant stay.

The room opens to the outside and doesn't feel as secure as rooms inside the building. The room and bedding had an odor and didn't feel or look clean. The room was small and the bathroom was small. We felt like we paid too much for the quality of this room.

They put us in a handicap room because that was the only room left when we checked in around 9PM. It only had 1 double bed, which made a lot of noise when you moved, like it was under a lot of weight and my husband and I are very average people. The room didn't seem clean and I've stayed at a lot of Baymonts and have always thought they were nice and clean. A washrag and towel were on the floor of the bathroom, which really bothered me since the room didn't seem clean and there were 4 or 5 dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom and a few in the walk in handicap shower. The outside door wouldn't close unless you really put some weight behind it, and I couldn't even get it to lock when we left the next morning because I couldn't pull hard enough. She had warned me they had problems with the door sometime and I just needed to come back to the front desk if I needed help getting it opened. Room accomodations were adquate although not excellent; good location; breakfast was nice with a better than average set-up.
