Hotel Guest Reviews of the Baymont Inn Decatur

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Staff provided a meeting room for me to help finish the sewing for my daughter's wedding two days later.
Not enough proteins (eggs, bacon, sausage) at breakfast. I am on a low carbohydrate diet for diabetes.

Overall my stay was excellent. The staff was very helpful with my needs for a space to help my daughter finish the sewing for her wedding.

The shower was excellent! The breakfast was very good. It was quiet and comfortable.
The extra safety latch on the door had three stripped screws, as if forced open. Dead bolt worked.

We were pleased with the comfort and convenience of this hotel. It more than met the price we paid for our stay.

The price was OK but for the price my expectations were a bit higher.
No working smoke detector, fire safety an issues.

I would not recommend this hotel, staff not very friendly, tried to charge me for pet, who was only 4 pounds, (this was not listed) and desk chair in room was broken and stuck in corner of room but main reason was the safety. No working smoke detector. The on in the ceiling was there but no battery in it.

Nothing!
Whole hotel smelled like an ash tray.

Smells like an ash tray, room, halls, lobby. Half the lamps in my room did not work or have a bulb. Phone was out of order (was there 4 days), wireless was out of service, (was there 4 days). Walls and bed spread had stains.

Great breakfast options.
The hotel lobby and room smelled like cigarettes. Part of the bath tub fell off and the TV wouldn't work.

I'm not going back.

Very convenient off the expressway access to restaurants shopping.
The carpet in the hallways stinks.

Overall, we will come back to the hotel the clerk was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable.

Smelled like smoke, even though we booked a non-smoking room, water in shower was scalding or cold, no in between.

Not great, wouldn't stay there again. Carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. We were meeting relatives in the lobby and someone was mopping the floor, we asked if we could sit in an area she hadn't mopped yet & she was pretty put out by that, said "well I guess, but I was going to mop that area next". So we left.

The beds were extremely comfortable I slept like a baby.
The rooms did not seem very clean, there were ants climbing on the bed, my son was bitten 3 times and the bathroom was terrible there and the carpet.

The staff is very friendly and prompt . The rooms are not anything special but the beds very comfortable, the carpet needs cleaned since this hotel allows pets it felt sticky and unclean to my bare feet, also it needs sprayed for bugs especially ants. We did not have food on the floor or anywhere but the fridge and woke up with ants in the bed, my son was bitten 3 times. Also after taking a shower the floors are covered with water and there were bookers on the wall which is not attractive to say the least. It was not a horrible experience but we will not be staying there again. ...read more

Very clean, very comfortable; great breakfast, with eggs, bagels, yogurt, lots more.
The desk clerk would not give me a receipt with the amount
I paid.

Good location, next to cracker barrel. Big, spacious room. The people next door were yelling loudly, and into the hall and lobby. Was a little scary, and not in tune with the ambiance of the motel.
