Hotel Guest Reviews of the Baymont Inn & Suites Gaylord
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 17, 2013

In a great location off of the freeway and close to a number of places to eat and shop. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean and spacious.

This is our second stay at this hotel. First time was great with roomy suite. This time was not so great. Was hard to sleep with the noise from water dripping on the air conditioner. Buffet breakfast was just okay. Can't complain for something this is free.

Not the most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed in, but adequate for the price.
We were assigned the handicapped room. When I mentioned to the check-in clerk that we're not actually handicapped and don't need that sort of room (I think they should save those for people who actually NEED them), she rudely informed me that my reservation had been made for a handicapped room, so that was what I got. It was nearly midnight when we checked in and the hotel was mostly empty- plenty of non-handicapped rooms available.
The handicapped room has an anti-scald temperature setting on the shower, so you won't get a very hot shower. The toilet is at a weird height. I'm sure it's great if you're actually handicapped...
Breakfast was put away at 9am, and as vacationers form the west coast (3 hour time difference), we slept through it. Hotel staff was rude when informing us of this as we sleepily wandered into the area where breakfast had been.
Other than that, the room was clean enough (the couch next to the bed was stained and kinda dirty looking though), and the bed was comfortable. The fan in the heating unit made an unusual noise when starting up- that was kind of annoying and woke me at times during the night. ...

Not sure if getting a cheaper price at this hotel is worth getting a lousy room. Price was only discounted maybe $10-$15 and got the room by the noisy laundry room. As soon as I complained about the noise, the front desk knew immediately what was causing the noise so they know there is a problem with the room. That is why I think they gave us that room at the discounted price.
