Hotel Guest Reviews of the Baymont Madison
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 24, 2012

Bare bones, don't think they vacuumed my room. the towels were a little sketchy.

Good basic economy hotel with easy access, abundant parking, nearby restaurants, and very friendly and helpful front desk staff. A previous review mentioned how helpful Marcus was. I laughed when I checked in and there really was an employee named Marcus. (Always thought some of those reviews were fake.) He was great. The wifi worked fine. Breakfast was a little disappointing.

I suppose it's not the hotel's fault that the entire first floor reeked of marijuana, but it wasn't encouraging to come in at night and feel like I was walking through a dingy college dormitory. I wish the entrance to the hotel was better marked. I arrived late and the main door is just there without tons of lighting or anything. Then the door was locked, leaving me to stand alone in the dark while I waited (not long) for someone to let me in. ...

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never seen such a dump be called a 2 - star hotel. I have used Priceline many times and have never had this type of experience.

Reasonably nice for price level, relatively inexpensive. Went out of their way to accommodate us: were sold out of rooms with two beds so gave us two rooms at same rate.

The room was relatively clean, but small and outdated. The stairs going up were filthy, looked like had not been vacuumed in years. People were obviously living in the hotel, hanging out in the halls and leaving their doors open. Their rooms were messy and it smelled like marijuana. They had food and drinks stored in the window sills to keep cold which looked trashy. We had a chair up against our door because we were not comfortable and I couldn't let my kids go to the vending machine alone. Noisy people coming in and out all night long, very irritating. Drunk guy tried getting in our room late at night thinking it was his room. ...

While the room was clean and odor-free, I had to get over the negative first impression of blotchy stains on the bedspread. The walls are quite thin: the shower running in the next room sounded thundering loud in my room and I could hear the moans of a woman in the throes of passion during the night. Easy walking distance to a number of restaurants was a plus as well as the included breakfast, but all-in-all a shabby, unmemorable place to stay. ...
