Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Beach Retreat & Lodge At Tahoe

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Beachfront rooms, gas fireplace, long pier is nice to walk out on over the water.
Thin walls - can hear people in neighboring room.

The beachfront access rooms are great if available. Lots of outside space to enjoy right on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Convenient location to area attractions, stores, restaurants.

The view from the room was fantastic. I requested a room change to have a completely clear view on the beach. It was just a little more in cost.
The bathroom was just a shower and quite small.

Great location on the boulevard. Beautiful view if you get the right room. If you don't, you can still hang out on the beach or dock and enjoy the spectacular view. Safeway is across the street so a snack in the room is never far away. I enjoyed my stay. It was as expected if not better.

location and fireplace.
could hear patrons on the floor above walking (thumping sounds) through the night.

The hotel staff did not honor "free breakfast" per the reservation confirmation details. Either Priceline needs to fix this on their site or the hotel needs to honor their promotion of free breakfast and not false advertise. This was a big downer;"breakfast included" was one of the main criteria for me to book this hotel at that price/night.

Location, view (had to haggle for it) but an expansive view from anywhere in the room was pretty special.
Looks like a lot of deferred maintenance, sort of a remnant of a once great property sort of like Cal-Neva on northshore

Priceline was same price as a drive-up price

They sold my lake view room to another customer and put me and my fam in a different room (not lake view) they wanted to comp us food and not offer a refund. Thankful someone cancelled but it just seemed sketchy from the start. Room is not up to date and feels a bit 80 ish. High point was that the hotel was steps away from the lake!

That for only a hundred and twenty-six dollars we had a two-room, three-bed, one bathroom unit. Beds for all six of us!
At first, they put us in a room with a king and small foldout couch... not at all how the "FamilyUnitGarden" room was described on the hotel's own website. They claimed I misunderstood what would be provided and were sorry, offering two extra foldout beds

3 beds, one bath, fireplace for king bed, tv's for the two rooms, little breakfast bar with 4 stools, two half-size tables... well done for the price!

Great view

A nice hotel/motel in mid-town Tahoe. Lake side rooms have great views. A very convenient and clean place to stay...loved it!

My room was right by the lake.
TV service. See below.

Could have used more bedding. No extra blankets in room. TV service was awful. Stretched standard def images on HD screen do not make HD TV. Definitely not acceptable in today's market.
