Berkeley Travelodge

I was pleasently surprized to find microwave, refrig. & coffee maker as well as a wide range of more premium channels...needed comforts when you are doing alot of traveling.

Written as 2-star hotel, but it's more like a nice 1-star motel. Still I liked the stay - convenient location, free parking & walking to University, good sleep.

It's a comfortable place to stay if you don't expect any frills. The staff were curtious, but the office where breakfast was served was often locked during breakfast. I was woken up late one night by a call from the front desk asking me to turn off my TV, which wasn't on. The rooms are small but clean and have comfortable beds. Good location with free parking. Close to freeway, Berkeley Marina and BART.

Disgustingly disappointed! Ridiculous pricing for such a cheap hotel. Poor service--just plain rude!

Nice enough if you don't expect much and just need a bed. Somewhat quiet at night. Lots of "homeless" people around the area, but, it's Berkeley.

I would not recommend this motel. It is in dire need of a renovation.

If you're desperate for a place near the Berkeley campus, this is a reasonable choice, but our room was small with wet floors and tiny bathrooms. Not a good experience overall. The staff on Friday was nice, but on Saturday he was a bit of a jerk. I will not stay here again.

If you are in a fix and need a place to stay, you could find better.

I would NOT rate this more than a level 1!! I was shocked when we drove in, again when we opened the room, not real clean, and had an old smell. Really let down with the breakfast, they seem to not want folks to eat, as had to ask about it, then they brought out the right amount of rolls and juice boxes I needed.
