Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Atrium Gardens
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 4, 2012

Good value, clean hotel, easy check in, nice beds, clean bathrooms. I would highly recommend this hotel.

While the hotel had the 2.5 star amenities, it was not clean or updated. The carpet needed replacing and everything showed lots of wear - from the doors to the breakfast area.

After we booked the room, we then called to reserve a crib for our toddler. The night we arrived close to midnight, we found out there was no crib in the room and the hotel was at capacity. The night staff abandoned his post to get that for us. Upon entering the room, it was literally a heat wave. It felt like 80+ degrees in there. The heat was not on though. I turned the air on, but it took some time to cool down. I was afraid to freeze everyone out, so I didn't get it cooled off enough. I ended getting to sleep after 1:30 and getting back up @ 5:30 because I still felt the room was too hot. (Not good sleep when you are going to be on the road 9 hours the next day). The bathroom was rough. The shower fixtures were loose. When we went to the breakfast, it was a pleasant surprise. We thought it was just a continental breakfast, but it was a hot breakfast. It was in the pool area and it had been humid in there, as the high chair appeared to have mildew on it. When my husband was crawling around the floor in our room playing with our toddler, he said he felt like he needed to shower after getting off the floor. We felt it did not deserve the 2.5 star rating. ...

Rude staff, foul odor in hallways, and the shower would not get warm.

Hotels that are getting a bit long in the tooth could go to school on the Best Western in Elizabethtown, KY. Business has not been good to hotels recently and most, like Elizabethtown’s Best Western cannot afford expensive refurbishing or remodeling. Yet, with a bit of extra efforts by the room staff and management, small touches made my stay more comfortable. The thermostat was set to a reasonable setting. Not turned off as with many hotels necessitating guessing HOW to find to the RIGHT temperature on the thermostat to sleep well. The shower curtain was laced nicely into the soap holder to keep it from flopping over the toilet in the bathroom. An easy enough thing to do… BUT… something that is SELDOM done in hotels lacking bigger bathrooms. And the tv remote was designed to be easily cleaned either by the staff or by the more fussy of you… by YOU. Small things that make you feel a bit better about renting a bit worn room. The public spaces were spruced up with a lot of greenery by the pool. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but something to break up the hard corners and noises often associated with pools. The breakfast area is by the pool with a wood shake theme… you’ll know what that means when you eat there… it is average in quality, but … plenty of room… plenty of food… and the setting is pleasant. That said… the staff needs to keep up on slow draining sinks… people DO abuse them in not cleaning up after themselves. But that is also common… and something the BW-Elizabethtown can use to improve on and that did not detract from a positive stay at what usually has grown to be a disappointing stay in any Best Western. Elizabethtown’s BW can serve as an inexpensive way to generate a good, solid guest experience.

Rooms were very quiet from outside noises. Check in and out was fast. Room was very neat with High Speed Internet. Enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room -- very relaxing.

This hotel has an older section and a newer section. Our room in the newer section was adequate and clean but very plain. I thought the addition of the microwave and refrigerator would have been handy if we'd needed it. The older section of the motel was dark and shabby looking. I was glad our room was not in that section.
