Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Avalon Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.Sort by: All Travelers | Business Traveler(6) | Solo Traveler(8) | Traveling as Couple(13) | Family with Young Children(4) | Family with Teens(6) | Senior Traveler(1) | Group Traveler(4)

It was very affordable and wasn't too far away from downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter.
I don't know what cleaning products the staff used but the hotel had a strange smell... Sometimes it smelled like Orange Glo, sometimes it smelled like old makeup.
The hotel wasn't above and beyond my expectations, but it was adequate enough to act as a pit stop for our New Orleans getaway. My only pet peeve was about the continental breakfast, the staff didn't do very good at keeping the food replenished, and I saw them helping themselves and eating right at the bar on more than one occasion.

Convenient to the French Quarter without the major price tag!
They should finish their renovations and add to their laundry facility.
This is the second time I have stayed here and I love it. The rooms are neat, the staff is nice, and I feel safe staying their with my small children.

Location and free parking
They charged me more when I arrived early
The hotel was okay, but nothing elaborate. I was very dissatisfied after travelling from California and being told that I had to pay almost double the price because I arrived a few hours early.
