Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Bastrop Pines Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location; It was right off of a highway; but far enough away to where you didn't hear the traffic
It had an outdoor pool. I prefer indoor pools.

New, clean, big rooms, convenient location

This hotel is new, offers large clean rooms, and is conveniently located on the highway for easy access. It's also only about 20 minutes away from the Austin airport, is significantly cheaper than hotels closer to the airport, and is a straight shot in.

I found it difficult to spot. The road did not have a street sign and with the road construction I had to make a 2 mile loop to get back to the road where the hotel was located.. The refrigerator in my room keep making a ticking noise so I unplugged it.

The rooms were comfortable.
We had to wait for hot food in the morning.

The hotel itself was comfortable. It had restaurants within walking distance. However, when we checked in, the front desk person informed us that there would be an extra $20 a night fee for two beds since our reservation was for a king. But, the reservation did not specify what type of bed we had reserved, it only stated 1 room. After arguing with the hotel manager about never having to pay "extra" for a Priceline bid, the manager did give us the two beds without charging. It was a stressful beginning to what was supposed to be a nice 3 day family vacation. This hotel could use some training on what constitutes good customer service. Even though we were given the two beds, the attitude of the hotel manager was rude and insulting. ...read more

I liked the accommodations just fine.
None

New, clean, and modern. A bit hard to find, but once you know it's across the street from Home Depot, it's no problem.

Excellent especially for the $$$$
Need SKIM milk for breakfast.

Compared to other 2 1/2 star places in Bastop this is a very good value.

Location.
When I booked I booked for double occupancy. I was charged for asking for 2 queens instead of having a king. My mother and I prefer seperate beds. If it had been for me and my husband it would have been fine. I won't be booking there again.

They charge you extra if you make a special request.
