Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Athens
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 12, 2012

Clean hotel, a great location. Hotel needs updating, but friendly staff. Free breakfast choices are limited and not real appetizing, as well there were not many choices remaining at 8:45 AM. If you are primarily looking for a clean hotel this hotel is for you. If you are hoping for a modern place to stay, you may want to look elsewhere.

I would never stay at this hotel again. I considered sleeping in my car after seeing it.

This hotel was acceptable in many ways. The location was ideal for our needs, it was affordable and the continental breakfast was about what one might expect. I was very disappointed, though, that the housekeepers never offered to clean our room. They did knock on the door and ask if we needed any towels, but when we requested them, we never received them. We had to chase a housekeeper down to get more toilet paper because we had run out, even though we had emphatically requested it earlier in the day. We never received the towels or washcloths that we requested. The office chair was broken. The temperature was either very hot or freezing. The front desk workers were disinterested in interacting with us. ...

This hotel was mainly occupied by workers (construction, cops, etc). It was definitely not a tourist hotel (as represented). They BBQ'd in the parking lot each night. I was traveling with my 18 year old daughter to tour colleges. We returned from UGA to find our room door open. Nothing was taken, but it was unnerving. The surrounding area was run down.

Bad neighborhood. Construction workers partying in the parking lot late into the night. Loud in room heater. Awful breakfast. Dirty room. Tiny bathroom. Cheap. If all you care about is price, then stay here.

The bathroom door had peeling paint. The toilet was not securely set, causing it to rock when we sat on it. The towels were small and thin. The only toiletries provided were shampoo and soap, no conditioner or lotion. The free wifi coverage was extremely spotty, and the front desk was unable to fix it. We didn't take advantage of the free breakfast, so I can't speak to that. The room as we had paid for it (he asked how much we paid and my husband told him, but I don't think that was really his business). He said they would probably stop participating in Priceline soon, but we didn't really need to hear any of that. Bottom line, this hotel should not be rated 2.5 stars. ...

It really needs to be torn down and updated. I never even stayed in it. I checked in and saw the condition of the room nd left There was a man working at the hotel and you couldn't hear yourself think.
