Best Western Golden Sails Hotel

If you like to jump back into the 70's this hotel will fill that nostalgic need. Everything about it was dated (expect the TV's, computers in the business office and the weight room). I appreciated its strong patriotic flair.

This hotel was on Pacific Coast Highway and close to all beach towns. It had a beautiful pool area and hot tub.

This Hotel is close to Best Buy, Barns & Nobles, the Movies, and other shops which is right across the street. Not far from this location on PCH "Pacific Coast Hwy" there's the Marina which have alot of outdoor attractions if you like looking at boats. But as for the Hotel itself it's a distance from Down Town Long Beach it will take you at least 10 minutes to get downtown or to the Aquarium, the queen mary and other attractions but the drive to these locations is pretty cool there's alot of shops to stop at. "Back to the Hotel". The staff was nice, they have a nice Restuarant that you will go to, to have your morning breakfast they give you two coupons, or how many people you have in your hotel and the Restuarant staff was really nice, and inside the Resturant it overlook's the Marina. The rooms are a nice size, but the bathroom look closed in. There's a balcony with one chair that faces all the other rooms so there's hardly any privacy when you are out side sitting. Loved the location of the room.. close to the jacuzzi and would ask for the same room for the next time

We chose this location for proximity to family in Long Beach. We were there for a week long trip to Disney Land. I knew from reading prior reviews this was an older property, but since we were only sleeping there, it didn't concern me. When we arrived it was as expected, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The property was quiet at night although is right on the PCH. The breakfast buffet each morning was awesome, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, toast and belgian waffles. I thought that was an added bonus for the price per night. Not the ritz but it is a clean and safe place to sleep if you need to stay in this area.
