Best Western Plus Blue Sea Lodge

If your heading to San Diego, start in PAC beach.

This hotel room was dirty and there was vomit on the couch cusion. I booked a room with 2 queen size beds and when i arrived they only had one room with one queen and a pullout couch that was filthy. I had to cut our vacation short becouse there was no way my kids were going to sleep on that couch! This hotel room was horrible.I would not recomend this place to anyone!

Go for the beach and location!!! Staff is okay, rooms are blah, but if you go to San Diego to stay IN the hotel room, you are crazy.

Not only a great location but free off-street parking.

We loved this hotel right on the beach, staff was some of the best I have ever experienced, it was myself, my two adult daughters and 5 year old grandson room was fine for us. No free breakfast but the is a little coffee shop in lobby and a great breakfast place called The Eggery right across parking lot

We arrived around midnight and the staff was extremely friendly......nice welcome after a long day of flying. They recommended a restaurant a couple of blocks away that was open until 1:30am with food and drinks.......Nick's. It was great seafood downstairs and fun bar upstairs with open deck and pool. Next day we rented tandem bikes a couple blocks away north - $52 for four hours. Fun! That evening we ate dinner at World Famous, only two blocks north and right on the beach. It was superb! Wonderful hotel- we had a partial ocean view and balcony in our standard room. Low deposit, casual and relaxed check out, beautiful room and friendly hotel staff were unexpected conveniences during our stay. I was even impressed with the wonderful soaps and the shampoo/conditioner/lotion set. The cafe downstairs was simple an inexpensive. The hotel iis literally on the beach without any roads to cross. The staff made us feel welcome and were quite helpful. Room and facilities provided were surprised us for the star rating. Having beach next to it is good for those who enjoys.
