The location.
The service provided.

When we arrived at the hotel there was no one to be found at the desk. After a 10 minute wait the service desk person finally showed up. She couldn't confirm that we had made a reservation, even though we had the documentation for our reservation. After another 15 minutes of waiting she finally came up with a room for us. Upon entering the room we found the room already occupied by a man in his underwear. Upon returning to the front desk the attendant then proceeded to call (I'm not making this up) various room numbers to see if the room was occupied. I thought I was on an episode of Candid Camera. After another 10 minutes we informed the desk person we were going out to eat and to please call us if she located a room. After 45 minutes and no phone call I phoned the hotel and the lady said it would be another ten minutes. She said she was going to have to physically check to see if someone was occupying the room before confirming that is was available. She either had no knowledge of how to use a computer or had some mental issues. One of the other hotel guests informed me that when they had checked in they received a room that had not been cleaned so it was not just us that had a bad experience. The final icing on the cake was when my daughters swim suit was ruined do to the chemicals that the hotel had put into the hot tub. Staff let me print from their computer when the internet didn't work on their provided guest computer.
Would not let me fill up water from the kitchen sink - the only sink in the whole hotel not in a bathroom.

Pool and hot tub were nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Complimentary breakfast had a variety of options.
We found two ants in the hotel room. Must have been more since we ended up with ants on our luggage in the car after we left.

We were able to upgrade to a whirlpool suite. Thank you! Underground parking was nice (first come/first serve).

This hotel is in a Hispanic area. Good restaurants in walking distance and a very enticing bakery.

Location
We stayed at this hotel last October and this time found it not quite as well cared for. The breakfast room was less than clean and not well tended. The hotel room's windows were FILTHY, hardly could see out. Were initially put in wrong room, Q vs K.

Stay here when visiting family. Walking distance to several restaurants and wounderful walks along the town dike by the river.

They upgraded us to a nice room.
We were frustrated that the internet was not working! The breakfast area on Saturday was not the best and they were out of a lot of things when we arrived!

She upgraded me to Jacuzzi suite. They have limited garage parking. Location was perfect for me.
