Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Plus Royal Palace Inn & Suites

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Although Priceline allowed me to book a room, the hotel was sold out and it was extremely difficult at 11:30 pm to find another. I ended up having to stay in a fleabag hotel on Santa Monica Blvd.

I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff was so accommodating. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the pool and hot-tub. I thought it would be very loud being on a busy street but we didn't hear any traffic at all.

The rooms at this hotel were very spacious and accommodated our family of six. We loved the continental breakfast and the valet parking was an added bonus. The hotel was very clean and our room was located on the backside of the hotel and we did not hear any traffic from busy Sepulveda Street. Definately would recommend this hotel for families. Great location!

Staff was helpful, valet parking was free, as was internet access
small room, tiny pool and dirty Jacuzzi. Room reeked of lemon disinfectant, a smell we could not get rid of even by leaving the windows open all day

Our room was tiny and under a flight of stairs. When we asked to change rooms, we were shown to an even *smaller* room. Needless to say we stayed in the Harry Potter-like room and listened to all the other guests stomping up and down the stairs all night. Traffic noise was also very, very loud. The bed was very soft and had adequate pillows, which was nice. Room had microwave and minifridge. ...read more

I loved the location and the complimentary breakfast. The beds were also very comfortable. Our room was clean. My husband commented that he felt very safe in the hotel, more so than in other hotels we've stayed at in the LA area.
The carpet in our room could have used a deep cleaning (had a bit of a sticky feel), our room was next to a stairwell so it was quite noisy, the pool was tiny and not heated (stay in February), would have liked a selection of firmness for the pillows.

We stayed in a two bed suite with a bathtub (I called to request a bathtub after reading other reviews regarding mostly showers in the hotel). It was an average room, nothing fancy but met our needs while in the area visiting family.Every front desk, house keeping and valet employee was very pleasent and professional during our seven night stay.I thought the location right off of the 405 and the 10 was very conveninent. We enjoyed having the beach close, just a 15 minute drive down Pico but try to avoid peak traffic hours or you'll be sitting in traffic for over an hour. We also enjoyed having the Getty so close to the hotel. We loved having a mini fridge and microwave in the room. There are two Trader Joes very close to the hotel so we stocked up (family of 3) and ate in the room for one meal a day. With breakfast included, this leaft just one meal a day dining out which saves a bundle. ...read more

It was near to the 2 places I was there for.
The hotel was crammed into an area of apartments. There was a VERY NICE valet who had to park the cars because there WAS NO ROOM. The bathroom had 16 glass stones instead of a window. It was smack in the middle of the bathroom I hated it.

Bed was comfortable. It was affordable in an expensive area. In no way was it worthy of a Best Western PLUS rating. It was maybe a Best Western "regular".

I loved everything. This hotel meet my expectations with plus.

The location is great. Fred and Denise were very nice and friendly. Free valet parking is another plus in LA. This hotel is a great value! Our stay at the Royal Palace Inn and Suites was a very positive experience!
