Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Plus San Diego/Miramar Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

very little

It was not a 2 star hotel. Very rough guests, very noisy, many people outside smoking, the people in the next room were smoking in their room, the parking lot was full of trucks, under the flight path. I felt unsafe and would not leave my room.

Parking was easy, the pillows were perfect and plentiful, the room was convenient, staff was friendly and prompt with service.
The Wifi signal was weak, there were a few hairs in the tub/shower, the refrigerator was unplugged, so it wasn't ready for the food I needed to refrigerate. The microwave didn't have the glass plate for the turn-table feature.

Check in was painless and prompt which a very convenient located room. I had issues with my key not working to get into my room once during day 2 & 3 of my stay, but getting it reactivated was easy enough. Parking was convenient, both in the parking lot and one the street. Besides minor, fixable problems (fridge was unplugged, turntable from microwave was missing, some hairs were missed in the tub), the only irritation I had was with the weak WiFi signal. ...read more

The room was nice and cozy, I give it that.
It was not close to the water as it appears on the map. They have another Sheraton close by, go to that one.

This was not a fancy Sheraton, you can do much better paying for a 3 1/2 star hotel. They charge $26 per day parking + $11.95 per day for Internet access. The gym is below par (small), and its more like a 2 1/2 star hotel in my opinion, they should advertise it as such.

the free morning breakfast. Very tasty and fresh.
pool not heated, hot tub not working

When I looked in the microwave, there was someones meal left in it.the toilet bowl was not brushed/cleaned.the in room coffee maker had the wrong coffee pot. would not let the brewed coffee drain into the pot. The night clerk brought another coffee pot, but it to was the wrong one.The front desk staff was very interested in being helpful. very personable.

I've stayed at a few other hotels in the San Diego area for around that price range and this was the best for that price range.

Nice clean room. Includes fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Met all my expectations especially for the price range.

Free breakfast that was actually more than muffins; jacuzzi; friendly staff and
close to highway.
My room was a handicap accessible so had no tub; although shower was ok, the shower head slid on the post.

Nice/decent place and
clean rooms. Had a jacuzzi and pool that weren't scum filled, with a courtyard aspect, slightly secluded. Free breakfast hit the spot (you can make your own waffles!) although some of the oranges looked like they'd been there awhile. Friendly staff who also put up with me after, I failed to spray the waffle iron with no-stick and they had to pry the remains out. Easy access to highway. ...read more

The morning breakfast bar was very good.

For the casual traveler looking for a basic hotel this is a good one, as it is a moderate basic and has a good location for San Diego access.
