Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Plus Westbank
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. I would not stay here again. The staff acted like we were a bother and did not clean our room after we requested it, as well as clean towels. There were people fighting and yelling in next room and I didn't feel safe in our room. We were located right across from the elevator and it was so loud all the time. The internet did not work at all. When I asked front desk about this I was told several times that its just because everyone is using it. ...

We arrived at about 2 a.m. on a Thursday morning and were warmly greeted by a nice man in the lobby. He carefully & completely explained the amenities of the Motel & our room location. Our room was very clean & we felt very safe & secure. The food at the adjoining restaurant was excellent (we mostly used its room survive). Despite being 8 miles away from the French Quarter, the commute was easy. We would recommend this motel without hesitation. ...

This hotel was located in a great spot for proximity to my various destinations. The room was well appointed and the "perks" such as the pool, bar and restaurant were very nice. The only negative was that my luggage had been looked through by housekeeping the first morning I needed that service. Nothing was missing, but it was a violation.

The hotel is old. It looks old and smells old. When we arrived we were greeted by several groups of Construction workers tailgating in the parking lot with beer drinking going on. There were also groups around the pool with 6-packs of beer. The workers looked like they were not trust worthy. We did not go out at night and did not feel comfortable sitting around the pool. As a senior female traveling with another female it was not a real safe environment.

Breakfast room is supposed to shut down at 9:30am, but we got there on the first morning at 9:25am and there was literally
nothing left to eat. The place had been hit hard by a crowd of young people, I guess right before we made it. It was apparent they had made no provisions for replenishing any grits, eggs, sausage, bacon because it was so close to 9:30. I complained and the cook be grudgingly agreed to cook a little more food. Worse yet, it was even
worse the next morning. We got down there at 9:05am this time and it was the SAME situation. They told me it would be 15 minutes before they had any more food ready, but about 10 minutes later they acted like it WASN'T GOING TO HAPPEN after all. When I and some others complained, they obliged again, but guests shouldn't have to fight so hard to get some free breakfast! Here's a TIP -- Jazz Fest happens 2 weekends EVERY SPRING and the hotel should have been able to accommodate the crowds at breakfast by planning accordingly. The hotel should not act as though the breakfast is a "take it or leave it...no big deal" affair -- if you say you furnish a free breakfast, get it frickin' right! ...

Beautiful lobby. Furnished a good breakfast. The pool area was nice and clean and had a club house with bar by the pool. The rooms were excellent with fridge and microwave oven. Large rooms and extra clean.

A nice place to use for sleeping if you aren't planning to stay at the hotel all day. I didn't get enough sleep because my hotel room is by the entrance door and it had woken me up everytime when someone is leaving or coming in. The sound can travel through your room, so if anyone talking and walking through you can hear them clearly.
