Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Pony Soldier Inn-Airport
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 3, 2013

Location is excellent with great access to PDX. Elmer's restaurant is walking distance across a parking lot, and a breakfast is provided. Meets all our needs.

We have stayed here many times before and find the staff friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very nice. If this Best Western was in a different city or location it would command a much higher price.

We go to the Grotto every year and spend time enjoying the Portland scene. This hotel has a great location and a great price. We felt safe and enjoyed the amenities which were available to us! My daughter left her pajamas and they are waiting for my sister to come by and retrieve them. Very kind and nice staff.

and printer was horrible! Took 30 minutes just to print a boarding pass. I would not stay at this hotel again for that reason.
Breakfast was
great and clean. The room was very quiet. For that reason alone I give the hotel a good rating. Employees okay. We waited for 20 minutes in the shuttle for another party that was getting their luggage. When the driver finally left them. They called upset that the driver didn't wait. As a business traveler and knowing the hotel is five minutes from the airport. I thought it was rude to make us wait so long (it was 10:00 p.m. at night) when the other group was obviously waiting for luggage. The business set up was horrible. I can't remember the last time I traveled when a system was so archaic and slow. The hotel prides itself on business travelers and close to airport, but they didn't seem very business friendly. ...

I wish there was more option as to which room is selected. I didn't really like that it was a smoking room. I was afraid to make any request in fear of being charged more for switching rooms. I
have stayed at better Best Westerns, this one was a bit disappointing.
