Best Western Smyrna Inn

Hotel was located near the area we wanted and needed to be for this visit. We went to Derby Downs in Dover and had a wonderful dinner with family members. We were close to Downtown Smyrna. The following was in walking distance of the Hotel, Dollar Tree, Grocery Store and a Donut shop. Walgreen, a gas station, Dollar general was within approx. .5 miles from the hotel. The hotel itself was fine; however, we were a little disappointed because at 3:00am they lost power due to transformer fire. The power returned after 9:00am. They could have compensated us due to the fact that we were unable to shower and eat breakfast there due to early commitment on Sunday. Everything was fine. It was clean and that is my biggest concern. The bed was comfy. the rooms were large with a big bathroom as well. I did not appreciate the lady at the front desk upon check out. She thought she had "caught" me because I had requested 2 beds, but because I did not choose that I had 2 people with me (there actually was no option for that to select anyway) she decided that I was trying to sneak something past her and she charged me an extra 10 dollars with an attitude. Overall it was a good experience in a good location.

I liked it and will stay again.

Seems like a good family hotel. Restaurants close by.

Staff friendly and helpful; fairly new hotel, clean and modern, located at the back of a shopping center so convenient to walk and leave the car parked.

Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel. The price was decent for amenities and room size and it was a good location. I didn't like the leaking sink with a trash can underneath in our bathroom and there was construction going on outside that closed off entrances and some parking.
