Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Troy
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.October 25, 2011
Family Traveling with Young Children
The front desk operator gave us a room with a king bed and no sofa instead of the queen bed with sofa we were supposed to have after she saw that we were a party of two adults and one child. Then she tried to charge us extra for a blow up mattress for our child. When I demanded either the queen bed with sofa that we had booked OR a room with two doubles she said the hotel was full although there were only 5 cars in the parking lot. She finally called the manager because I threatened to sleep in the lobby if she didn't give us a room with something for my child to sleep in. The manager said that he had already given us a king bed which was better than a queen with a sofa and told me to shut up. They finally managed to find us a room with two double beds, (apparently they had overbooked the queens with sofas) only after we threatened to sleep in the lobby on their sofas and started to change into our night clothes. I would never ever go to this hotel again. The owner is sleazy and the front desk is incredibly rude.

Excellent value for the money. Everything was just a short drive away, and the people behind the desk always had smiles and were helpful with places to eat.
