Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel

The Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel is a very inviting place overall with friendly staff, beautiful public spaces, and nice quiet rooms. Although I had only breakfasts and one lunch at the on-site Le Petite Cafe restaurant, the food was very good (especially the breakfasts). At least when I was there, the Plaza Hotel is not a "hopping" place with lots of energy. The bar often had no one in it (even over Happy Hour) or at most one other person, making for a rather quiet experience. The hotel is also just far enough from attractions and shopping as to make for a good walk. You can get a taxi but must call for one as they do not routinely wait out front as would be the case at larger hotels in the area. Nice, classic old luxury, but simply not convenient to anything.

Very nice hotel and they gave us a free upgrade to a suite for our stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Not sure if it would be worth paying full price for the suite.

I can't say enough good things. I would book the Plaza in a heartbeat!

During my previous stay the hot water came out brown and tepid. The front desk said "We know." "There is a broken pipe." No room change or comp was offered. Two years later everything was clean and completely comfortable except the number of signatures required for check-in seemed excessive.
