Hotel Guest Reviews of the Boston Hotel Buckminster

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Genial staff. They moved me to a room with a view the next day. I'm really glad they're getting a restaurant soon.
No.

Very clean rooms and common areas. I wish the continental breakfast had a little more protein. Although the rooms are not large, they are fine for the traveler who is not going to spend all day inside. The location is good as there are good restaurants within walking distance. It's close to Berklee College of Music. It is safe and secure for a woman traveling along. The prices are very reasonable. ...read more

The rooms were large and clean. Beds were comfortable & linens were good quality. The location is next door to Fenway Park. Check-in was very efficient and the desk personnel very helpful.
Parking in the adjacent hotel lot can be difficult in heavy traffic after unloading bags at the front door, because you have already past the lot. Backing up can be difficult to reach the lot entrance and a go around would be easier provided a map.

The hotel is located next door to Fenway Park on Beacon Street. In my opinion Boston is a compact city where many people walk where ever they wish to go. If you are in a rush both the transit and taxis are available. The city is easy to navigate in these three methods. Keep your car in the lot. Parking can be difficult to find and expensive. If I were traveling again to just take in the city, I would leave the car at home. ...read more

The hotel had all of the above. I ended up with a suite and not just a room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was close to a T stop.
The closest I can come to a complaint is that it took a few minutes before the hot water got hot.

This is obviously an old hotel, but it is in very good condition. Athough I had just reserved a regular room, I was also given a sitting room with a very comfortable sofa and a small dining table. The rooms were rather large as well as clean and bright. Wireless available in the room. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful in terms of suggesting things to see in Boston and showing me how to get there. The hotel is located near Fenway Park in a good location close to a major T (Metro) station. I had read one review that said this hotel should be ranked higher than two stars and I would agree with this. Even without the Priceline discount, this hotel is also less expensive than most Boston hotels - an excellent buy for the money. ...read more

We were going to a game at Fenway. PERFECT location! Excellent rooms. A little odd design on the floor plan, but overall, I liked it.
We happened to have extremely loud across the hall neighbors at 2:30am. Nothing against the hotel, just young, inconsiderate guests.

We had absolutely no problems at all while staying at the hotel. Room was what we expected. It was clean, comfy, and worked well for our stay.

Our room was very comfortable - since it's an older hotel, I was expecting things to be a little dated and I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Their continental breakfast service was very well laid out by an attentive staff
It would have been nice if the hotel had some basic toiletries on hand - late at night I realized I needed something.. pretty basic and they sadly had nothing on hand so my husband had to go to the 7/11 down the block. Also, the TV was dated

This is THE place to stay if you're in town for the Red Sox and/or visiting colleges. It's really close to the Kenmore T station where the B,C, and D on the green line stop. I would definitely stay here again.

Very close to Fenway Park. Staff was very nice. Room was a good size. Clean.
Rooms and furniture could use some updating.

Great location. Room was clean. Staff was courteous.
No room service.

Be aware that there is no restaurant or room service available at this hotel. Otherwise, the location is unbeatable (2 min walk from Subway station - 10 min walk from Fenway park).

Amazing location - and an incredible history I was not aware of...staff for the most part was very helpful.
Check-in was incredibly messy...while it was because I asked for something different that altered the process, it seemed like the person doing the check-in was not very adept with manipulating the computer and it took over 20 minutes.

For the location and the price, one of the best deals I've had. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. And it can't be beaten in terms of proximity to Fenway park - great views even from your room!

The friendly staff and cleanliness.
Nope, best hotel experience we have ever had.

The room had a great view of Fenway. The room was a good size and had a nice size closet. I loved the old history of the hotel. It was within walking of a subway station. We would recommend the hotel to our friends and will stay there again.
