Hotel Guest Reviews of the British Colonial Hilton Nassau

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Staff was friendly and location had good access to the local scene and historic sites.

The rooms nice and had great beds and bedding. We both really liked the large bathroom with separate shower. The breakfast buffet with simple but well stocked with goods fruits yogurt and traditional breakfast items.

the staff are most helpful inviting and very pleasant also the hotel is immaculate it is also centally located. Thank you priceline .

Unfortunately the one day of rain we did not have much to do as the shopping is very expensive. We did however try to go to the botanical gardin but one of the hotel staff steerered us away from it because apparently not really much to see. There is also a zoo to visit. You can also walk to the fish fry, maybe half a mile away . Anchorage was very good last year , where we had grouper fish it was enough for two. unfortunate;ly they were not open when we visited this time. We went instead to twin brothers where I had a great meal.Grilled Grouper which was seasoned to perfection and my husband had chicekn and beans. We both enjoyed our meals so much we returned the next evening but was not crazy about the fried conch id ordered. I would strongly recommend Jimmys take away its on charlotte or fredrick. they serveExcellent fried conch as well as grilled chicken aand many other dishes at very reasonalble prices. They close a 4 pm. On a rainy day you can also take the ferry $3 per person each way, to atlantis and viisit the reef to see the aquariums and also the marina where you can have the greatest pizza.etc. ...read more

This hotel was a complete key down for how expensive it was. There's much better deals in town
The staff seemed burnt out and very unhelpful. Also, the "private beach" was tiny.

Don't waste your money here

The housekeeper, waiters and bellmen were all very friendly. Also, the pool has very comfortableand luxurious chairs and beds.
There are several mandatory fees charged per person/per night. At the end of my stay I had a rather large bill for services that are normally included like housekeeping and energy fees.

You should know that pre-paying for your room does not exempt you from a list of additional fees that you'll have to pay at the hotel. Come prepared to spend an additional $17 per person, per night. One nice thing is...there is a refrigerator in the room that you can fill with snacks.

rooms, location and private beach with nice view
They have a lot of fees that makes priceline.com look like bait and switch they charge additional "energy" surcharge per person and "room cleaning" which added about $40 additional charge per room per day for us. It's like 40% upcharge

Be-aware of hidden charges! This hotel will be 40% more costly then what priceline says. They have a lot of fees that makes priceline.com look like bait and switch they charge additional "energy" surcharge per person and "room cleaning" which added about $40 additional charge per room per day for us. It's like 40% upcharge on promised rate.

the hotel service and staff provide an excellent experience when visiting
the surcharges for energy and room cleaning. unlike US hotels, seems like they charge only the room and all other services related to the room are detached.

although food and drinks can be charged to your room or credit card, be careful when adding tips. they are included at 15% and the request is for an additonal tip.

put in a small room right next to elevator....would not change location....the sound of the elevator from 5:30 am on was a bummer...
they seem to be a little put off by the price line reservations....like they have the rooms next to elevator shafts/doors only for price line
