Hotel Guest Reviews of the Budget Inn Charlotte

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

nothing. Sorry.
Location was unsafe. Appeared to be a hotel that served prostitutes and drug deals. There were missing light bulbs in the sockets. The toilet paper holder fell out of the wall. TV station selections were poor. No Microwave or refrigerator.

My advise is to perhaps call the hotel, ask about the location and security. Double check the amenities and if everything is in working order. Maybe even call the local law enforcement; ask them about the area. The location was not safe, there were noises outside keeping me up at night. They advertised microwave and refridgerators; there wer NONE. The channel selection on the TV was awful. The volume on the TV was unreliable. The sink was cracked. The toilet needed flushed twice after each use. ...read more

This was a Budget Inn, so that's what I expected. This was a trip where I was taking a crash course over three days. I knew I was going to be gone all day and mostly needed a place to shower and sleep. This room was adequate for my needs.
There were stains on the carpet and the chair recliner in the room which were a little scary. I left a note for the maid that I didn't need room cleaned or linens changed, but she did it anyway. No staff(only a note)when I checked out.

If you need a simple, basic room--this is perfect. Nothing fancy. I was pleasantly surprised there was cable TV. I'm glad there are options like this that is a good price and fair to travelers.

No

Room looked recently renovated, clean. Hotel hard to find. Soap and shampoo OK. Total experience much more than expected for price.

the rates. this is the cheapest hotel in the area and that is why i stay here.
the man at the front desk is not friendly at all but i think it's just his personality. he got my reservation mixed up with someone else's so we had to wait. also, the "free breakfast" consisted of little muffins and that was it.

this isn't the nicest hotel and it's in a sketchy area. but it is the cheapest and the bed is comfy so i stay here often. another pro is that the internet works well. those are the most important things to me so this hotel, while not fancy to say the least, gets the job done for the low rate.

1 mile from a public train station
A lot of noise at night

Overall was a good Hotel for the price. It was a mile from a train station that took you into downtown Charlotte which saved me money on parking and all that good stuff. At night, though, there was a few loiters outside that were talking most of the night

The tv worked...
I killed a couple roaches, most of the staff did not speak english... So it was great -_-

This "motel" brought new meaning to roach motel, I felt like I was in a horror movie and the room I was in was going to be broken into and I would be killed. Its not like the door actually closed all the way anyway. I've never been more disgusted, I didnt even use the sink water to brush my teeth, Luckily, I had a bottled water in my bag. Never again will I be cheap and book a room here. I did not sleep because I was afraid something was going to crawl on me. If you've never stayed here before, save yourself the trouble and don't. ...read more
