Hotel Guest Reviews of the Bulfinch Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The price was great and for us this was a good location for this trip.
There were very few restaurants except for sports bars in the area. Sleeping rooms small.

Very lovely old hotel. Rooms beautifully appointed; bathrooms beautifully finished and well supplied. Though rooms are small compared to some modern hotels, they are very comfortable and more than adequate.

Good location.
The size of the room, the morning staff & parking attendant when checking out.

The hotel is convenient to the Garden and North end.
Small shower, very noisy (hallway and street noise), no lobby, pitiful business center.

The room is fairly standard for this star level, but other than the room it doesn't in anyway feel like a three star hotel; the bathroom is cramped, the service is what you'd find at a Hampton Inn, and the amenities, outside of the Flat Iron Restaurant, are non-existent. You also can hear everything going on in the hall way while in your room. Worth staying at if you catch a sale.

The staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. We stayed in the deluxe business sweet which had an amazing view. superbly romantic!
The sweet had a standing shower and not a jacuzzi. only complaint. At all.

The staff was down to earth, they were accommodating from when we went to dinner too when we went to smoke a cigg at 3 in the morning. They called a cab to vet us where we needed to go and pointed the way when we needed bed. Superb experience.

Great good and a pretty decent location.
Room literally outside of the elevator - could hear everything.

Nicely updated hotel, and a good location near Beacon Hill in Boston. The room was small, which is all we needed, but the room we were in was outside (literally you take a step out of the elevator and the only option on your left is the door to our room) of the elevator and we could hear anyone that came through. The bathroom was decent and had a nice shower. The bed was pretty comforatable as well. We returned one day and our key did not work. I waited in the lobby for at least 15 minutes before anyone asked if I needed help - apparently the computers went down and they were focusing on that. Once they recognized me, they reactivated my key with no problem and the staff was otherwise very friendly and helpful. The lobby is cramped, but the restaurant is delicious. Overall it's a great hotel. ...read more

Nice old building. Nice features of the outside. Brick.
Dirty toilet when we arrived. Badly damaged pull out bed. Disappointed in the outcome.

Happy to arrive at hotel. Had series of bad things happen having to do with my room. Next day, had to change rooms. I wanted to like this hotel. I did have a wonderful weekend with my daughters in Boston. The location of the hotel was very good, but
I would never go back to this hotel. Nor would my 3 daughters. Nor anyone we have told our story.

Attractive, comfortable, private, good location .
Room was very small, though the description described it as "spacious".
