Hotel Guest Reviews of the Candlewood Suites Austin Arboretum - Northwest

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The facility itself was ok, but not managed well.
Bad plumbing. Took an ice cold shower for the first time since I was a kid due to problems with the shower. Had to take a shower, so put up with the frigid temperature.

Poorly run. No maintenance staff working on the weekend. Kid at the front gave me a card to call the manager. Will call Candlewood Suites, instead.

Attractive, newly renovated or newly built, very comfortable, very quiet.
Oddly, our suite which included a kitchenette, smelled noticeably of Chinese food. A little off putting, but not horrible. Also, the toilet was not steady and rocked when someone got up.

Clean, safe and convenient location.
No breakfast.

Very nice and well designed for business travelers that extend their visits. Had a nice canteen for guests with food and beverage items on the honor system. Well-maintained and nicely landscaped.

Housekeeping didnt show up for the weekly service.. Housekeeping was frequently bothering me in the morning I checked out.

For the price this hotel offered me excellent kitchen facilities and a nice clean room. I accept that the rooms only get serviced once a week and that is reflected in the roommate.. However when housekeeping don't show up for the weekly service like what happened to me, it makes the situation so much worse than in a hotel room that is serviced daily. This hotel have ample parking and I felt very safe even when arriving to the hotel late at night. My room was spacious and had a great bed. the television set is of the older type and a little small in a large room like this but they also had a DVD player in the room that was an added bonus Its a pity the housekeeping didn't do their tiny part.. Other than that the kitchen is equipped with a in sink garbage disposal, dishwasher, large fridge, large Microwave oven and 2 plate build in counter stove.

While not glamorous this was a great extended stay hotel. The suite was clean and nice like having my own studio apt.
My room was designated as a non smoking room but I think someone in the past ignored that and smoked in it.

This hotel definitely met and exceeded my expectations. That being said keep in mind this is an extended stay hotel so think of them as a temporary apt building. This isn't a place where they make your bed and fluff your pillows every morning. You only get housekeeping services once a week.

They have gas grills on a patio so you can grill some steak or burgers, beats going out every night.
My car was broken into and over $400 worth of stuff was stolen and they only had smoking rooms left so it smelled really nasty.

Free internet, free laundry, clean rooms, enough pots and pan variety.

Candlewood is Great place to live for an extended stay. This I know because I went to Extended Stay America the following week and you can see and feel the difference in quality of service, professionalism and the rooms itself. Candlewood anticipate your needs for a longer than usual stay and address it in advance.
