Hotel Guest Reviews of the Carnegie Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 19, 2013

I would review this hotel as a really great 3-star hotel. There are some aspects of the hotel that feel a bit worn or well used, and unfortunately it's not due to the vintage look and feel. But that being said, it was a really great experience and the highest reviews are due to the staff who were so very helpful, courteous, respectful, and invested in the guests. They did a remarkable job! ...

Luxurious atmosphere, spacious bathroom with separate tub and large shower. My husband and I were there for a weekend getaway without the kids and we were pampered and treated like kings and queens. Great location across the street from ETSU.

First class hotel but you do pay for it, a little more than we may always wish to pay.

The hotel was surprisingly nice for a city this small. It was comparable to the Peabody in Memphis. Not quite as good but comparable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the tri-cities area.

The bathroom, while large and nicely equipped with double vanities, had a very low-end, added-on shower stall more suited to a small cruise ship room than a 4 star hotel. It was small and had nowhere to store shampoo or other toiletries inside the shower. Definitely needs upgrading to measure up to advertised deluxe hotel rating.
