Quiet location. Very comfortable soft bed. Good reasonable food at Katie's restaurant in the main building.
That it was in the Motor Lodge not the main building.

It was a good, clean and comfortable place to stay.

The room was adequate, the staff cleaned and straightened the room daily. There was some noise nightly outside when the guests came home late. The room has no refrigerator.
There is no elevator and some rooms are removed from the parking.

The restaurant is nice and the service is good.

As to be expected, lot of cigarette smoke in the casino and near the restaurant.... Blah!

The room was large, up to date bathroom and vanity area, quiet, and extremely clean. I was able to use the CVInn pool and facilities which were a short ride or walk away. The price was so reasonable, that I'd rate the Motor Lodge as a fantastic value

The Motor Lodge is in the middle of beautiful Carson Valley. 45 min. ride from Reno, 30 min. from Lake Tahoe and is near many nice restaurants, golf courses, and outdoor recreation areas. I have stayed there several times in the past and will continue to stay there when I visit again.

The Casino wasn't horribly smokey, which is good because we had our son and we needed to eat. The staff was great as well as the food prices and cleanliness. It's also only 30-40 minutes from Kirkwood, our favorite resort and beat S. Lake Tahoe prices.

I think Carson Valley Inn is great! They are extremely clean and fresh for being a casino. I didn't gag with cigarette smoke while I was in the casino. The food is of good quality and the staff is very friendly. I also noticed that the other patrons of the casino seemed very respectful so I was comfortable bringing my 4 yr. old son for meals.

The only thing that was missing was a refrigerator

Better than expected for price and location:)
There were no pictures online of inside the rooms at the Motor Lodge so I was a little affraid to book, but we weren't going to be there except late one night and out the next morning so for the price I just went for it and was quite happy upon arrival:)

We stayed at the Motor Lodge... Nice clean room, nothing fancy but good for the price:)It wasn't attached to the Inn, which was fine for us. We were in town for a sports tournament. Kids were able to enjoy the indoor pool at the Inn. The Motor Lodge was only a half block away, close enough to walk for the pool, gym and restaurants.
