The outdoor area is great on the canal-front and with the pool area, and is nicely kept.
The rooms were disappointing verging on unclean.

Lovely view of canal
Maid walked in our room when she thought we weren't there. Ignored Do Not Disturb sign.
Everything was fine except for maid ignoring Do Not Disturb sign and coming in our room when she thought we were not there. My husband was in bed. She pretended sign was turned wrong way but I carefully placed it there myself when I left. She did not say "housekeeping" upon entrance.

The room was smelly and old fashioned.
The reason I choose this hotel is because it was close to my customer location. I now realize that I should have stay at the cheaper hotel 25 min away as it was much nicer and ocean front.
