Very nice room, cool atmosphere, and friendly staff.

This hotel is split in two sections: the casa and the Victorian section. We stayed in the Casa section, which was very up-to-date and modern with a great look and feel. The Victorian section, looked old and in serious need of renovation. I recommend this hotel, but only if you book a room in the Casa section (or updated part of the Victorian).

The staff was very responsive. The room was large and beautifully appointed.

Great location in downtown Sausalito. Walking distance to shops and harbor across the street. Close to San Francisco.

Overpriced and tacky, really lacking taste and need some serious refurbishment.

Don't recommend. Stay at the motel. You will get a better value for you money.

Architecturally and historically interesting.
A lot of steps within our suite.

Quiet, well-located, charming, interesting property. Limited by its geography (very steep hillside) but a pleasant experience. Nice bedding.

The casa section hotel room we stayed in 2nd night after complaining to mgr was lovely and would recommend to anyone.
The hotel room in the Victorian section which we were put in the first night should be condemned.

The hotel's website misrepresented the condition of the room.

The hotel's website gave us the impression that the room that we would be staying at would be modern and luxurious. The room that we stayed at turned out to be in the older wing of the hotel that was really just a converted room in a Victorian home. The room was clean, but the facilities were definitely old and the TV was tiny. The hotel's website does not show any pictures of these rooms. ...read more
