This hotel is seedy. Paint peeling on structures. Carpet by coffee shop very worn and dirty. Huge dead cockroach in doorway. Room service trays in hallway all day long. Room was fairly clean, but kept my socks on at all times. Dining car carpet was filthy. Does not inspire a desire to eat in restaurants on site. Was told by relatives who live in Chattanooga area not to go out after dark because of gang shootings close by. Graffiti on building across from the lobby (train station).

Would recommend people to visit there and also dine, but to spend the night somewhere else, unless you don't mind the smell of a musty, moldy room.

This is my favorite hotel in Chattanooga. There are certainly nicer hotels, but the historical nature and kitchen's of The Choo Choo dictates return trips.

It was clean,the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was very close to downtown which was nice,we felt safe. It is pet friendly. They were helpful with any information. Although the room was alright there was something oozing down the wall closest to the bathroom,didn't stink or anything like that,just weird. No we didn't report it to the hotel but we should have. We stayed in the hotel at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. ...
