Hotel Guest Reviews of the Chelsea Inn
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 1, 2013

The toilet was out of commission for 4 hours and the bed linen was not changed before I checked in.

This hotel was extremely affordable and perfect for my needs, which was a bed, close to union square, Internet connection, and a restroom. If you stay here, you must be able to take stairs and haul your own luggage. The bathroom is shared but everyone was respectful and clean about the use of the restroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are no perks like elevators, hot tubs, or common areas. It is like staying in a friend's extra room and sharing the bathroom. There is also no way to make food but I did have a small refrigerator in which to keep my drinks, yogurt, and sandwich supplies. The subway is close too. I loved my time here but amenities aren't abundant and I knew that before arrival so my expectations were met. ...

This is a great bargain. The little cafe next door has wonderful breakfasts. It's easy to get to the sunway. There's lots of great retail and dining nearby.

Inexpensive hotel in a great location. Rooms are small, but clean, with fridge and sink. Shared bath on the hall. No lobby or public space - breakfast (pastry and coffee/tea) was at the restaurant next door. Free wifi, but kind of iffy; I had to sit in the hall to get a signal.

This hotel is in a good location only a block from the subway. The hotel is outdated but very clean. I would stay again - the free wifi is a bonus and an out of country traveller.

The hotel is quite charming. Excellent location and price for a quick busines trip. The staff is friendly and the room was a little larger than I expected. I will stay here again on my next business trip. I did not find the "shared" bathrooom an issue.

This is a GREAT place! Given the price range - this is an outstanding value. The staff is very courteous, helpful, professional. It's convenient, clean, charming, helpful staff, next to a fabulous bakery/cafe, convenient to subways, etc. One thing I especially appreciated about our room (203)... it was on an interior courtyard, so there was absolutely no traffic noise. I just couldn't get over how quiet it was. Definitely a bonus after flying in from the west coast. I really got a good night's sleep! ...

Carpets and linens were clean. Walls and decor very dingy. Inexpensive but not a great room.

Hotel is very quaint with quilt bedspread. Furniture not in great shape, but the room was clean and the guests and staff friendly. Stayed on 4th floor and guests helped with suitcase both times. There is a disco next door; however, I was on the opposite side of the building staying during the week, so it was quiet. Yes, you will be sharing a bathroom; however, the bathroom was clean before and after other guests used it. ...
