Hotel Guest Reviews of the Citymax Hotel Al Barsha
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 23, 2012

Good hotel for the $. The shower is absolutely strange, it is only 1/2 a pane of glass. I am 6.2 so I could not stand under the shower without hitting my head. As a direct result I had to turn the shower head up which caused water to run all over the bathroom. I do not see why they can add a sliding glass door or a curtain; absolutely mind boggling. Other than that everything was what I expected and more. Good sports bar, music bar, etc. Great staff!

felt let down by that, the buffet is lack luster.
The Hotel is clean and pleasant, it has a contemporary look that comes across as somewhat hard, but is very pleasant but is certainly no luxury.

The CityMax Al Barsha is a very nice budget hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The gym is small but serves its purpose. The hotel has a decent restaurant. The breakfast buffet, though sometimes limited in selection, consistently has food that is of very good quality. I only have two complaints about the hotel. The gym doesn't open until 7 in the morning (the same time as breakfast begins). This annoyed me because I generally like to work out very early before having my breakfast. My other complaint concerns the shower. I deplore those partially open showers. It's not clear to me why that concept ever emerged. It's extremely difficult to bathe without flooding the bathroom. ...
