Hotel Guest Reviews of the Clarion Hotel West Springfield

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The front desk staff was very nice.
The hotel was gross, it smelled like an old basement, the carpets were stained and the rooms had stained ceilings and carpets.

Staff were friendly and courteous. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable!
Room smelled as if it used to be a smoking room but is now a non-smoking room. Unpleasant smell.

Very clean hotel with comfortable beds and friendly, courteous staff.

Main Lobby and Employees at front desk
Room and Security of premises.

The lobby is the only good thing about this hotel. The room was dumpy. The parking lot gave me the creeps. There is a big sign that says you need your keycard to get to the back parking lot. There is no gate and the keycard system was falling off hinges. Obviously that didn't work. The doors off the parking lot to the hotel did not shut and lock. Someone other than a customer could easily enter the hotel. I felt extremely unsafe as I was a woman traveling alone. ...read more

Convenient location.
Rooms need to be updated.

For a Clarion, I thought this property was rather outdated. New carpets, beds and a general renovation is needed. Also, be sure to request non-smoking rooms, if desired, as there are many smoking rooms in this hotel.

It was near Friendly's and Cal's restaurants
Appearance of grounds, disrepair, entrance to business tower where we stayed was disgusting, smell and wide open - no security.

This hotel has potential but until it is renovated/upgraded we will not stay there again. The staff were friendly enough, the accommodations stunk. I'm sure they are doing the best with the facility they have, and that it has been a "go to" hotel for years, but again, it is sadly in need of repair, paint, security, renovation of restaurant and pool area, etc. Sorry.

I liked everything except TV reception/selections & non-functioning hair dryer.
TV selections/reception & hair dryer died on last day when I needed it most.

Very clean, efficient to lots of attractions, restaurants and shopping. Very well decorated.

The bartender at the sports pub made a good cocktail.
Filthy walls, gum on headboard, mildew in shower, noisy (slamming doors), smelled bad (moldy).

Terrible experience. The indoor courtyard where the pool is smelled like wet carpet. Our room had filthy walls and wads of gum stuck to the headboard. How do you get a shoe scuff mark on the ceiling. Bathroom was gross. Mildew stains on the door and in the tile grout and the shower walls were dirty. No ceiling fan so no ventilation. Front desk offered up another room but we didn't think it would matter. Not worth the price. Didn't want to eat there either since everything looked so dirty.
